Cenote Crustecea
Also known as Esponosa
Location: 20.78061, -86.94706 (Yucatán, Mexico)
Entrance is done by a big tree, jumping into the water as it is 2.4 m deep. Getting out of the cenote is the biggest challenge. Either bring a 12 ft ladder or climb the tree and use ropes and pulley to pull the equipment out of the cenote.
This is a very unique environmental situation. Waisted from a hog slaughterhouse, located 1 km north on Highway 307 provide a continuous supply of nutriments, thus allowing a population explosion among blind crustacean and amphipod .
Area: Puerto Morelos
