Cenote Regina
Location: 20.19764, -87.50696 (Yucatán, Mexico)
There is a wide ladder to enter the water, or you can fling yourself in.
The permanent line begins at the tree stump on the far middle side.
You will need to carefully descend down to 12 ft as the cenote basin narrows to a low but wide opening. Float like a butterfly as you descend, but the odds are, there will be poor visibility. Once you are through the low opening, boom ! It immediately opens up to a huge passage.
As you swim the first 250 ft, you will see two offshoot lines to the right that go in downstream directions. It is the second jump to the right that can lead you to Cenote Caj. Stay on the main line as you will swim through both freshwater areas that are tannic stained and saltwater zones that are vividly blue clear water and spectacular white walls. With a stage bottle (three tanks) you can observe an impressive animal bone site.
